Are you a qualified and HCPC registered social worker looking for your next challenge? Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people and seeking a working environment where continuous improvement is a priority? Then Cheshire West and Chester Council could be the perfect place to further develop your career.
On Monday 28 November 2016, we will be hosting a Drop-in Recruitment Evening at the Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port to meet social workers who are newly qualified and experienced, just like you, to join our children’s social care teams in Chester, Ellesmere Port and Winsford to help us build on one of the most successful Ofsted inspections in the country.
Come along anytime between 6-8pm to meet our tight-knit team of social workers, supportive team managers, senior management team and Director of Children’s Social Care who will be there to answer your questions and share the benefits of our highly competitive package including flexible working, multiple employee benefits, professional support and a wealth of training opportunities. Refreshments will also be provided throughout.
We have successfully 'grown our own' strong and permanent senior practitioners and team managers, and are keen to continue this trend with our next generation of social workers. If you choose to join us, you will benefit from our strong commitment and investment into social work progression, career development and innovative CPD opportunities.
Judged by Ofsted as having ‘good’ children’s services, with ‘outstanding’ judgements for leadership, management and adoption, Cheshire West and Chester Council understands the complexities and challenges of the job and is one of the country’s leading children’s services.
Now is also a particularly exciting time to be joining the Council as we are in the midst of rolling out new ways of working, leading the way to transform and modernise social work practice whilst making a ‘good’ service even stronger to ensure all our families, children and young people are supported to get the best start in life.
